The Pyramid Lake Museum is Nevada must-see. The beautifully-designed Museum has wonderful displays around the history of the lake, the Paiute people, the stone mother (the beloved rock formation in the lake) and the famous Pyramid Lake War of 1860 which was the single greatest confrontation between the American Indians and whites in the state of Nevada. A new offering at the museum are their ethnobotanical gardens. They offer a look at plants native to the area which are food, medicinal, and lovely to experience. The Museum is a state treasure and we are happy to offer a way for people to directly donate to it through our website. Please know that all donations here feed directly to them, with no fees charged.
